Let’s go cross-curricular! (Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary or Cross-sector)

Have you ever thought about how you could ‘go cross-curricular’ in your English classes? Have you ever considered ways in which you could add meaning and value to how (and what) your students learn?  In this session, we aim to outline how. We will provide specific examples of how to ‘turbo charge’ our students’ English-learning by including cross-curricular links in class that do not require extensive planning or full-on involvement in a longer-term project. We will explore how we can build skills in maths, science, literacy, music and art, whilst at the same time boost collaborative learning, critical thinking and creativity in our learners. This session not only helps our coursebooks come ‘alive’, but also helps use develop a ‘toll box’ of ideas for dealing with all types of learners and learning preferences.
